Domonique M. Mack, M.Ed, is a professional educator committed to advocating for those most in need. As a skilled Assistant Principal, she has made it her professional mission to ensure that the most vulnerable learners receive an education that supports their individual learning style and helps them to reach their highest academic potential.

A seed for education was planted in her life at an early age. Leading lessons in children's church at the age of 8, her mother always believed that she would be a preacher. Little did they know, it would be a group of pre-teens in her pulpit of learning.

As a teacher, Domonique always provided instruction so that all learners were able to see success. During her second year of teaching, she was identified as a "Master RTI Teacher". Facilitating lessons that were both challenging and engaging, students learned and practiced skills in a variety of ways. Her innovative educational practices landed her the opportunity to work alongside groundbreaking educators, turning around under performing schools in Texas. Her work as an educator had a direct impact on student achievement, climate and culture and increased parent and community involvement.

"It is the responsibility of every educator to cultivate spaces for learning that are both academically stimulating and socially appropriate to maximize every child's learning potential."

In 2017, Domonique took a seat at the IEP table, advocating for her own son who had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, This diagnosis would become the driving force of her work in education. Navigating the space of being both a special education parent and administrator, she began to see the vast inequities that parents of low income families faced when advocating for their own children in the public school setting and knew that something must change.

Being mom to an autistic child has given her a personal connection to the special education community. Having to advocate for her own son, she has experienced the trials and tribulations of special education and the IEP process in a public school setting. She believes that the IEP process is a partnership rooted in trust between family and school, working to put the best plan in place for students most in need and it is this belief that continues to guide her work.

Domonique received a Bachelors of Science in Advertising Public Relations from Texas Christian University in 2011. In 2017 she was accepted into the Teaching Trust Aspiring Leaders program which, in partnership with Southern Methodist University, earned her Masters in Urban School Leadership in 2019, graduating with honors.
